Our client is a small, fast paced, highly skilled and very passionate consultancy specialising in the Rapid Prototyping of Unmanned and Micro Air Vehicles (UAV), Vehicle Performance & Autonomy and Miniaturised Systems.

Their services are provided in the area of airborne systems and they also provide hardware and software analysis of flight products, they are highly successful and work with all of the primes in the UK.

Due to continued rapid expansion they are currently looking for a versatile Electronics Engineer to work on a range of exciting Unmanned Aerial Vehicle projects from their office which is conveniently located in the Bedforshire area and easily commutable from Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire and Buckinghamshire.

As part of an agile, multi-disciplinary team, your role will include:.

* Digital and analogue electronics design
* High frequency digital design
* Use of electronics CAD packages (Cadsoft Eagle an advantage)
* Multi-layer board layout
* RF design
* Embedded programming (PICs an advantage)

This dynamic company has a hothouse Avionics group within the business with it's own lab designing interface boards and tailoring their own onboard systems and Avionics to interface with their client's systems.

They need highly intelligent applicants with a 'can do' approach and a real head for multitasking. They work in a fast paced environment and this role offers a very exciting and challenging position which would not suit someone with a 9-5 mentality as it has the potential to stretch the successful candidate to their limits in terms of their input, knowledge and learning.

Applicants will ideally have an interest in radio controlled aircraft and be multi skilled with Avionics coming first at a national or international skill level follwoed by other skill areas relevant to the company such as:

*Flight controls/algorithms
*New concept design (e.g. sensors, payloads etc)
*B certificate pilot's license or knowledge of remote controlled aircraft
*Airframe knowledge (within radio controlled or conventional aircraft)
*Aerodynamics
*Materials or structures

Due to the nature of this position it is a legal requirement that all candidates must be able to obtain basic UK Security clearance in order to be considered. Therefore you either need to be a UK national or have been a permanent UK resident for the last five years continuously.
